It was fine Saturday morning, and it was my
first day in my NSTP class. Exactly 9:00am sharp he walked in to our NSTP class
room 410, it was him, a man in his 50’s I supposed, I’m not sure, I don’t
ask people’s personal details, his hair with touch of grays on it, his skin
where wisdom and experience are written, that was him, I get curious with, who
as the days go by, I get to know a little. But one thing is for sure, there is
something special with this man, something that makes all of us and the rest of
the people around him, give him the highest respect he deserves.
I only knew very little about him, besides the fact that he is my Math 5, Statistics professor and my NSTP coordinator.
For academic excellence and achievements,
teaching experiences, seminars and workshop attended, finished courses, oh boy!
I’ve seen it, it’s a long list and I tell you, you don’t want me to go through
it one by one. He is truly a man full of wisdom and knowledge.
He is not just a professor, nor a Doctor of
Education, or a man of Philosophy. He is a friend, who cracked silly jokes. A
father, who gives advice, who scold you sometimes and of course who will never
stop in giving an encouragement to each and everyone of us. He is truly and
inspiration and with that, I am literally grateful that I met him, grateful
that I am one of his students, one of the lucky people he shared his wisdom and
knowledge with.
To him, on behalf of Makabansa NSTP group,
we would like to extend our utmost gratitude to Doctor Juanito Galos, the man
behind NSTP, beyond extraordinary man. Thank you so much sir!
